Dorothy and Frank Szachara

szachara Dorothy and Frank Szachara of Endicott celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving on June 6 at St. Casimir’s Church in Endicott. The Mass was celebrated by Father Matthew S. Wieczorek, and among those present for the photo after Mass was Father Matt along with his new Pekinese, Harper.

Dorothy and Frank were married June 8, 1940 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Binghamton. They have been blessed with 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

An open house, attended by family, friends, and many of their former neighbors, was held in their honor on June 12 at the Ideal Senior Living Campus, where they are now residents.

Fred and Rose Murabito
murabitoFred and Rose Murabito of Oswego celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary July 26. Fred and Rose were married in St. Joseph’s Church in Oswego by Msgr. Francis Furfaro. Fred and Rose went to Bonnie Castle and Virginia Beach, Va. for their honeymoon.
Both are now retired. Fred worked for Robson and Woese Consulting Eng. in East Syracuse. Rose worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Oswego.
The couple has three sons, Paul, Mark and David. The couple has two grandchildren, Tom and Lauren, and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Paul T. and Julian. Fred and Rose celebrated their anniversary by going out to dinner.

Harold and Gladys Cline
Harold_and_Gladys_2 On Sunday June 27th the marriage of Harold and Gladys Cline was blessed at the 11 a.m. Mass by Father Clarence Rumble at the Church of the Holy Family in Endwell. The Clines and their family and friends attended the Mass to celebrate the 75th wedding anniversary of Harold and Gladys.  The actual day the Clines were married was June 29, 1935.

Frederick Earl and Sally Anne (O’Leary) Harris

Frederick Earl and Sally Anne (O’Leary) Harris of Mattydale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20, 2010. In honor of their anniversary a party will be given by their daughters on Aug. 1 at Casa Di Copani.
Fred and Sally were married on Aug. 20, 1960 at St. Peter’s Church in Lowville, N.Y. Msgr. John A Cotter officiated. A reception was held at Henry’s Hotel in Lowville. Following their honeymoon to Canada, Fred and Sally moved to Syracuse.
Both are graduates of Lowville Academy and Central School as well as the Central City Business Institute. Fred served two years in the army before the couple wed.
Prior to retirement, Fred worked as a banker for Merchants Bank and OnBank in Syracuse. When he retired he held the position of Assistant Vice-President. Sally worked for the America for Loyalty Group, Peace, Inc., Chappell’s and Embassy Suites.
Fred and Sally’s family includes: daughter Kathleen and son-in-law Vincent Agugliaro of Lacona, daughter Sheila Stone of North Syracuse, and daughter Dolores and son-in-law Eugene of Clay. The couple have five grandchildren: Adair, Aubrey, Aaron, Keisha and Faith.
Both have been parishioners of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale for over 40 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Zdep
Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Zdep of Baldwinsville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 24. They were married in 1950 by Father David Norcott at St. Joseph’s French Church in downtown Syracuse. They have been parishioners of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale for the past 54 years and have been instrumental in implementing many church projects. 
frank__edie_zdep They donated the stained glass window in the front of the new church as well as the chimes which were given in honor of Father Kevin Hannon in memory of his mother, Ann. Frank and Edie consider their many friends at St. Margaret’s as family. 
Frank retired as a lieutenant from the Syracuse Fire Dept. in 1970 after serving for 22 years.  Edie and Frank were the first Tupperware distributors in Central New York opening E-Z Distributors in 1958. Frank and Edie worked together to inspire others to succeed which brought them much happiness and success as they built a very successful business in their 43 years in Tupperware. They are most proud of earning Tupperware’s highest award — the Ad Astra — and of being recognized many times in the Top 25 in the nation. They retired in 1996.  Edie’s ever positive attitude toward life – no matter what it brings to you —  continues to be an inspiration to all who know her.
They have three children: Michelle and Jack Edgerton of Manlius, Dr. Steven and Judy Zdep of Baldwinsville, and Cindy and Bob Ulrich of  Stamford, Conn.  Frank and Edie are proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren. They have just returned with two other couples from a fun trip to Branson, Mo. filled with shows, shopping and sight-seeing. A celebration with friends and family was held on June 24 in Cazenovia at the Brewster Inn.
